Building Connection Through Community: A Conversation with Rosemore Electric
St. Catharines, ON – Strong partnerships are built on more than visibility—they're built on shared values, community connection, and a commitment to making a lasting impact. For Rosemore Electric, partnering with the Niagara River Lions was an opportunity to align with an organization that embodies the same local pride and dedication to Niagara that has fueled the company's growth. What began as a sponsorship has evolved into meaningful relationships, increased community engagement, and new opportunities to connect with residents and businesses across the region. We recently sat down with Jeremy Olsson, Owner & Master Electrician at Rosemore Electric to discuss why he chose to partner with the River Lions, the impact the partnership has had on the business, and why investing in the Niagara community remains at the heart of everything they do.
Q: Why did you partner with the Niagara River Lions?
A: We partnered with the River Lions because they’re a strong, local organization that genuinely brings people together in Niagara. Rosemore Electric was built here, and we wanted to align with a team that represents the same community pride and momentum. It’s a way for us to support something positive locally while building real relationships with fans, families, and other local businesses.
Q: What business goals were you hoping to achieve through this partnership?
A: We had a few clear goals:
- Grow brand awareness in Niagara in a way that feels authentic (not just ads).
- Build trust by being visible in the community and associated with a respected organization.
- Create relationships and referrals with other sponsors, local businesses, and community leaders.
- Long-term growth: stay top-of-mind so when people need electrical work—panel upgrades, EV chargers, rewiring, commercial work—Rosemore is the first call.
Q: What results have you seen?
A: We’ve seen:
- More recognition locally—people bring us up more often in conversations and online.
- Stronger community connections through events and the sponsor network.
- More inbound interest (people checking us out, following our channels, and asking questions), even when it doesn’t convert immediately.
- The biggest result is momentum: it’s helped reinforce that Rosemore is a Niagara company that’s here to stay and grow.
Q: What surprised you most?
A: How quickly the partnership turns into real relationships. It’s not just “a logo on something”—you meet people, you get conversations going, and it creates a sense of shared pride. Also, the River Lions organization is very intentional about making sponsors feel involved, not just included.
Q: Can you share a specific success story or memorable experience?
A: A good one is the “small world” effect: meeting fans or other partners at games/events, then later having them reach out for work—or refer someone—because they already feel like they know us. Even when it’s not an immediate job, it builds trust fast because the connection started in a community setting, not a sales pitch.
Q: Why is community involvement important to your organization?
A: Because Rosemore is a local business built by local people. Niagara supported us as we grew, so we believe in putting that support back into the community. Community involvement also matches how we operate: we’re not trying to be the biggest name everywhere—we want to be the most trusted electrical team in Niagara, and trust is built by showing up consistently.
Q: What would you say to another business considering a partnership with the River Lions?
A: If you’re serious about growing locally, it’s worth it—especially if you show up and treat it like a relationship, not just marketing. The River Lions have a strong community, they run things professionally, and the sponsor network is full of good people. If your goal is long-term brand growth and community connection, it’s a great fit.
Through their partnership with the Niagara River Lions, Rosemore Electric has strengthened its connection to the community while continuing to grow its presence across the region. From building relationships with fans and fellow sponsors to supporting an organization that shares its commitment to Niagara, the partnership has proven to be about far more than brand visibility. As Rosemore Electric continues to grow, community involvement remains at the core of its mission—making the River Lions a natural partner both on and off the court.
