New basketball team coming to Niagara

A new professional basketball league in Canada is bringing a franchise to the Meridian Centre.

The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) named Niagara as one of the teams for its upcoming inaugural season alongside Hamilton, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Fraser Valley and Guelph.

The regular season schedule is made up of 20 games.
