Cayo built a stellar collegiate foundation at the University of Richmond, leading them to an Atlantic 10 Title and an NCAA Tournament upset. Professionally, he has brought his paint dominance and elite interior finishing to the NBA G League, Poland, France, and the CEBL, where he captured back-to-back championships with the River Lions. 

PROFESSIONAL Career

2025–26 Season (Current)

Cayo played 17 winter games in France's Pro B for ADA Blois Basket, netting 9.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on 50.0% field goal, 24.4% from three, and 66.7% from the stripe. 

Heading to the French Basketball Cup, Cayo played for ADA Blois Basket for a 2-game stint, averaging 9.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists on 40.0% field goal and 66.7% from the stripe. 

Cayo is currently active in the Niagara River Lions lineup through 14 games, posting strong all-around marks of 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks on 39.9% field goal shooting, 32.8% from three, and 70.4% from the line. 

2024–25 Season

Cayo starred in 28 games for the Manchester Giants in England, averaging 13.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals on 43.5% field goal, 34.3% from three, and 69.9% from free-throw.

Cayo was a pillar in the frontcourt for Niagara, starting 21 games and contributing 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, a career-best 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest while shooting 37.7% from the floor, 25.3% from deep, and 58.8% from the line, helping the River Lions win their second consecutive CEBL championship.

2023–24 Season

During a frantic global itinerary, Cayo split 13 NBA G League games between the Memphis Hustle and Ontario Clippers, averaging 1.2 points and 1.0 rebound in 6.8 mins per game.

Cayo then made his debut for the Niagara River Lions, registering 13.6 points, 4.1 boards, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.26 blocks across 23 games while shooting 47.6% from the field, 34.% from three, and 65.6% from the line and securing his first CEBL championship. 

2022–23 Season

Cayo spent a productive winter in Poland's top tier, logging 30 appearances for Astoria Bydgoszcz, averaging 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 0.7 steals on 49.4% from the field, 25.0% from three, and 70.2% from the free-throw line. 

Then heading back to the Montreal Alliance for 20 games, where Cayo paced the floor with 14.8 points, 5.7 boards, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 47.2% shooting from the floor, 39.1% from three, and 74.5% from the line. 

2021–22 Season

Cayo made an immediate summer impact for his hometown Montreal Alliance in the CEBL, starting 20 games and logging 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks per match on 53.7% from the field, 50.0% from three, and 57.6% from the free-throw line. 

COLLEGIATE Career

2021-22 Season

Cayo capped an incredible 5-year run by starting 37 games for Richmond and capturing the Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship, averaging 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks while leading the program deep into the NCAA postseason on 55.7% field goal accuracy and 46.5% from the line. 

2020-21 Season

In a shortened junior year, Cayo anchored the paint over 23 contests, logging 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game while connecting on 51.2% of his field goals, 40.0% from three, and 72.2% of his free throws. 

2019-20 Season

Cayo remained a steady presence in Richmond's frontcourt across 30 games, posting 8.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per match on 55.6% shooting accuracy from the floor and 79.8% from the line. 

2018-19 Season

Cayo stepped into a massive starting role for the Spiders, starting 33 games and netting a highly efficient 12.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks while shooting a brilliant 59.9% from the floor, 50.0% from three, and 57.7% from the line. 

2017-18 Season

Cayo opened his NCAA Division I path at the University of Richmond, playing a bench role across 32 games to chip in 2.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.4 blocks per contest on 43.9% shooting from the floor and 59.3% from the free-throw line. 

Notable ACHIEVEMENTS

• Finished 4th all-time in University of Richmond history with a career 55.2% field goal percentage.
• Currently sitting in 6th on the CEBL All-Time Points list (Regular + Post-Season).
• Led Richmond to a 2022 Atlantic 10 Tournament Title and an NCAA Tournament upset over Iowa.
