Join the Niagara River Lions and gain real-world experience behind the scenes in the sports industry. As a Business Operations Intern, you’ll be a key player in supporting game-day execution, community initiatives, and daily team operations—while being treated like a valued team member from day one.

What You’ll Do: Assist in organizing events, festivals, and appearances throughout the Niagara Region, act as a promotional representative and brand ambassador for the River Lions while building rapport with the community, have informative conversations with existing and new fans, contribute innovative ideas to the overall marketing initiatives of the organization, assist with managing social media channels and website, assist with events planning and execution, oversee “Dunkin’s Kid’s Club” correspondence and monthly newsletter, assist with sponsorship fulfillment and execution, assist with merchandise inventory and sales, maintain a positive image of the Niagara River Lions, assist Manager of Business Operations in day-to-day operational tasks, manage incoming emails and phone calls, ongoing support for key facets of the team’s overall business objectives, general administrative duties & other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Internship must be for academic credit and evening & weekend availability may be required

Game Day Manager:

The Game Day Manager oversees all aspects of Niagara River Lions home game operations. This includes managing volunteers, executing game scripts and in-game promotions, coordinating with the venue and special guests, ensuring sponsorship fulfillment, supervising setup/teardown, and maintaining a fan-first experience.

Basketball OperatIons CoordInator:

The River Lions Basketball Operations Coordinator is a motivated, organized team player who can assist with our 2026 season operations. This role (May–August) based in Thorold, Ontario, supports team practices, game-day logistics, travel, equipment, and player needs.

Kickstart your career in sports sales with real hands-on experience in prospecting, client communication, and CRM management. You’ll work directly with our sales team to generate leads, build relationships, and drive revenue while delivering top-tier service to River Lions fans. Basketball OperatIons Intern:

Be part of the team on and off the court and experience the game from the inside. You’ll support travel coordination, player logistics, practices, and day-to-day team operations while working closely with our Basketball Operations staff. Earn real experience, and learn how a professional championship organization operates in season.
