River Lions Announce 2022 Coaching, Training & Medical Staff
St. Catharines, ON – The Niagara River Lions announced today their full 2022 coaching, training and medical staff under Head Coach and Co-General Manager, Victor Raso and Head of Basketball Operations and Co-General Manager, Antwi Atuahene. The staff includes several returnees as well as new additions, each who bring a wide range of experience from different levels of basketball.
“Antwi and I are excited for this group, as we have continuity in our staff from previous seasons and have added bright, young coaches who will bring great energy to our staff,” said Raso. “We are a team within a team, and I look forward to building with this group!”
Returning staff includes Assistant Coaches, Jeff Joseph, Danielle Boiago, Mick Bett, Chris Rao and Tyrone Watson. Dave Smart will return as Executive Coach, while Jeff Zwolak will return in a new capacity as Chief of Staff.
New additions include Marlo Davis and Freddy Appiah, as well as Ryan Alford who will join on as a Junior Assistant Coach.
Team training and medical staff will include Head Athletic Therapist, Dianna Moulden, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Matrixx Ferreira and Myles Methner (Iron Performance), Team Doctor, Dr. Michael Torigian, Team Dentist, Dr. Wid Mohamad (Tooth Harmony Dental), Team Chiropractor, Dr. Mark Lessey, and Mental Skills Coach, Mahsa Durbano (Limitless Performance).

The Basketball Operations team will be led by Mitchel Pulla and include student interns Daniel Caldwell, Braeden Zahn, Matthew Tang and Solomon Sualim.
The Niagara River Lions are one of the original six teams of the CEBL.
