Kassius Robertson will return to the River Lions for his third season with the club after playing for Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro in the Spain Liga Endesa for the 2020-21 season. He was named Canada Basketball’s Player of the week in October 2020, as well as voted Player of the Month (MVP) of the Monbus Obradoiro for the month of December 2020 after scoring 37 points in one game, and setting a new club record in points scored.  

The Toronto native has been part of the River Lions since the inaugural CEBL season in 2019, but only had a brief stint of seven games with the team before being invited to play for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Summer League where he made highlights across the country with his display of athleticism during a dunk over the Utah Jazz. 

During the 2020 CEBL Summer Series, while suited up for a second season with the River Lions, Robertson averaged 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. 

Prior to Robertson’s professional career, he spent three years at Canisius College, before transferring to play his senior season at University of Missouri. 

Robertson is a blossoming Canadian talent with a bright future. He is a tough, talented offensive player who can score in many different ways. Kassius is a world-class shooter who demands the attention of opposing defenses, and is becoming more of a complete offensive threat as his career progresses.
