St. Catharines, ON – The Niagara River Lions are happy to announce the 2nd annual “Paint the Court Pink” night presented by CAA Niagara.
On January 3rd, in partnership with CAA Niagara and the Canadian Cancer Society, the Niagara River Lions will help raise women’s cancer awareness in a game against the London Lightning.
“Paint the Court Pink is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, and CAA Niagara is thrilled to be involved,” said Rick Mauro, Vice President, Marketing and Public Relations. “We encourage our Members to join us at the game, cheer on the Niagara River Lions, and most importantly, support a cause that affects so many.”
The Niagara River Lions will don special pink jerseys and encourage fans to wear pink to show their support as well.
The Canadian Cancer Society is a national organization whose mission is to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of people living with cancer. For over 75 years, they have supported thousands of researchers and raised more than $1 billion in cancer research funding.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with the Niagara River Lions on this exciting event in support of women’s cancer research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society,” said Michelle Begin, Community Fundraising Specialist for the Canadian Cancer Society Niagara Community Office. “Partnerships like this are an integral part of how we are able to have MORE impact, against MORE cancers, in MORE communities than ANY other cancer charity. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the community and of organizations like the NRL and CAA Niagara.”
Join the River Lions on January 3rd for their first game of 2018. Visit Ticketmaster or call the River Lions Front Office at (289) 273-5905 to show your support.
